THE PLAYER VOICE YOUTH FORUM

We’re really excited to announce that with funding and support from the Mayor of London, we’re creating two Youth Forums in London. We’re looking for young male and female footballers ages 13-19 to apply to be a part of this unique opportunity to make a change on issues that affect young footballers on and off the pitch.

Youth Forum meetings will be held in London. Both the girls and boys groups will be collaborating, as well as working on their own specific campaigns. The members will be working with experienced facilitators and also have mentoring sessions as part of the project, developing their leadership, communication and advocacy skills.

Please help us spread the word! Applications and expressions of interest are currently being accepted. Click here to apply.

If you’re a club or sports organisation wanting to know more, download this information sheet here.

You can contact ije.amaechi@playervoice.org.uk to talk more about the project.

The first meeting will be week commencing 9th October 2023.

Football Unites deemed a success following the pilot programme.

We are delighted to share this short film with you, showing what academy players did with their community partners, and how it addressed their top concern of ‘youth violence, gangs and fear of crime’ in London.

Football Unites is a player-led community engagement programme, which enables academy players to identify social issues which are important to them and collaborate with a local community organisation to tackle their concerns.

During 2020 Player Voice engaged with Crystal Palace and West Ham United football clubs to test out the pilot Football Unites programme, with support from Arsenal Football Club and the Premier League as advisory partners.

Please download the Football Unites report here.

Player Voice (PV) is a community interest company, enabling children and young people’s views and ideas to be heard regarding their education and sporting development, with their safety always in mind.
